Growing up in New York City, Victor de Leon was regularly whisked away by his mother through Midtown Manhattan, where he admired the store windows at Bergdorf Goodman and Saks 5th Avenue. For several years, Victor's mother worked in a small boutique on Madison Avenue where she'd sneak him into the basement to take inventory and tailor garments while keeping a watchful eye over her young son. These influential experiences would lead him to pursue fashion and design, driving him to eventually take an internship in Rome, where he further cultivated his passion. By the time he was in his early twenties, he had launched a clothing line and opened a boutique in the trendy, fashion-forward neighborhood of Nolita…
He then moved to the corporate sector of the fashion industry working for Isaia before the recruitment to work for Brunello Cucinelli. He led North America’s business development strategy and collaboratively created the exclusive sartorial tailoring service program, Sartoria Solomeo.
In 2020 he was pulled away to play the role of Creative Director with the launch of a new collection inspired by the better years of Golfers dressing well, the 20’s and 30’s. Through this lens, created Gatsby.
In addition to continuing his role with Gatsby, he has now expanded his offering to service like minded brands.
